I have a second post rolling out for you today! Slightly different then our normal posting, but I really wanted y’alls feed back on what I have been seeing a lot on Pinterest and a really recent conversation I have had with a client: Black framed windows. This is nothing new but has become quite the “thing” in the last year or so and I think Im loving it. Having a black framed window against white walls creates a beautiful contrast and can give any space a modern look.

I recently had this discussion with a client where we were contemplating painting her wood framed windows black. We went back and forth for weeks on if it would enhance the overall design we were working on. The client has more of a traditional Texas ranch house which originally had creamy walls and a lot of limestone.

The more we discussed it and went back and forth, we opted out because of how much work it would talk to paint her existing wood framed windows black and after we have lightened up all the walls throughout the house we agreed that the wood framed windows help tie in the style of the home and the all wood doors. We are going to paint the trim white however, making the windows stand out a little more. Photo Source: House and Home
While this didn’t work for this specific client I think I like it over all as a sleek contrast to draw your eye out the windows and to the view. So what do y’all think about black framed windows? Yay or Nay?
