Happy Monday Y’all! I thought Id kick off the week with a Project Reveal of a home I’ve been working on in the King William district of San Antonio. The home itself is a beautiful Victorian-style home with bay windows creating a ton of natural light in the Living Room and Master Bedroom. We were working on the Living Room for this part of the project, but have since started to work on the Guest Bedroom. Check out the Before and After of my Project King William for quite the transformation.
The clients had recently remodeled the whole house, updating the paint, kitchen and a lot of the finishes. The floors were re-finished but are original to the home, as well as the moldings around the windows. One thing the client really struggled with was the layout. They had their TV and sofa placed in the middle of the room, leaving the side with the bay window very open and awkwardly empty. Another challenge was that this space opens up to the dining room and kitchen as one long galley room, so when designing we wanted to make all the spaces flow and keep them open for easy entertaining.
*Disclaimer: These photos were taken on my iPhone, so excuse the poor quality.
We switched up the layout and sourced all new pieces that fit the space pretty perfectly. To the left of the console is the Dining Table and Kitchen, so as you walk into the space the console and artwork are the first pieces that greet you. I think its safe to say, we definitely brightened up and already pretty bright space and added a fun pop of color which brings in a lot of energy!
